The Hidden Reason Your Oil Pan is Leaking After a Recent Service The Hidden Reason Your Oil Pan is Leaking After a Recent Service There is perhaps no greater frustration for a vehicle owner than pulling into your driveway after a fresh carmax oil change or a visit to a local dealership, only to wake […]
I remember pulling into my driveway last Tuesday, and the smell was unmistakable. It was not the sweet, sickly scent of coolant—which, by the way, you can identify using this guide—but the heavy, acrid stench of oil hitting a hot manifold. It is a smell that sticks to your clothes and makes you worry about […]
I remember pulling into my driveway after a crisp weekend trip to the mountains, feeling like a pro for keeping my high-mileage sedan in such good shape. Every time I took my foot off the gas and came to a complete standstill, that little red oil can icon would blink at me like a […]
I was sitting in my driveway, staring at a receipt for eighty-five dollars, feeling like a total sucker. It was a crisp Tuesday morning, and I’d just picked up my sedan from the local quick-lube. You know that feeling—you expect the car to idle smoother, but something felt off. I popped the hood, pulled the […]
I remember pulling into a gas station three years ago, staring at the pump as the numbers climbed way faster than they should have. My SUV felt like it was gasping for air every time I merged onto the highway. I was convinced I needed a major repair, or maybe my transmission was slipping. I […]
